Hire Vets Award Winner, Six Years in a Row

For the sixth consecutive year, the Department of Labor has awarded The Excalibur Group with the HIRE Vets Gold Medallion!!! This award is given to companies across the country who demonstrate excellence in recruiting, employing, and retaining our nation’s veterans. Specifically, Excalibur is one out of only five companies in the District of Columbia to receive the award in 2023.

Excalibur is dedicating our 2023 HIRE Vets award to our teammate Lana Hampton who supports our work with DC’s Department of Employment Services (DOES), and the District’s Workforce Investment Council. Lana is a veteran herself and through her previous employment with DOES, served the local DC veteran community. Lana continues to support veterans by participating and providing expertise and guidance to The Excalibur Group Veterans Program as a Training Coordinator at ACW Workforce Center. She has been an indispensable member for our team, always giving a 100% to assist trainees, leadership, and coworkers.

This award reflects our collective hard work and dedication to our team, customers, and clients. We are so thankful to our veteran Knights- for their service and for being vital members of the Knight’s family!

Jessica Audsley is a dedicated director of programs and an Army veteran who continues to serve in the Army Reserve, focusing on force protection. As an Army spouse, she has spent much of her adult life connected to the military, experiencing the unique challenges and triumphs that come with military life—both in her career and through her husband’s service.

Jessica is passionate about supporting her fellow veterans and remains actively engaged in her community to stay informed about available resources. She is committed to helping veterans navigate their journeys and is always ready to assist those in need.

Ashley Lemus is a Recruiter and former military spouse who specializes in being a dedicated resource for veterans. As a previous military spouse, she knows the sacrifices veterans make for their families and the challenges that come when navigating back to the civilian lifestyle.

Ashley is always enthusiastic to connect with veterans and share any opportunities or resources available, ensuring they feel supported and empowered throughout their transition. Her commitment to serving those who have served is reflected in her proactive approach to facilitating meaningful connections and career growth.
