Excalibur Legal Staffing, LLC, (DBA Excalibur Staffing Services) has been approved as a registered business enterprise in the District of Columbia’s Certified Business Enterprise Program (CBE) as established by the Small, Local, and Disadvantaged Business Development and Assistance Act of 2005, effective October 20, 2005 (D.C. Law 16-33; 52 DCR 7503).

Marcus White, owner and president of Excalibur Staffing, says of his firm’s certification, “This not only opens up new opportunities for Excalibur, but for other businesses with whom we partner.”  The CBE Program provides contracting preferences for local businesses, increasing their competitiveness for District Government contracting and procurement opportunities. Specifically:

• -CBEs may receive up to a 12% effective price reduction or 12 preference points, depending on the procurement; and,
• -District agencies must spend 50% of their expendable budgets with certified small business enterprises (CSBEs).
