WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 25, 2016) – Excalibur Staffing Services, a minority-owned HUBZone certified staffing firm, announced today its participation in the District of Colombia’s Department of Employment Services (DOES) DC Career Connections Program (DCCC).

The DCCC is one of the city’s work readiness programs, designed to provide 400 out-of-school District youth with opportunities to gain valuable work experience, skills, training, and individualized coaching and support to gain employment. The program is an integral component of Mayor Muriel Bowser’s Safe, Stronger DC Initiative. Excalibur is committed to encouraging excellence, technical skills, and confidence in our youth through constructive, valuable work experience, and mentorship as long-standing employment specialists in the DC area.

Excalibur’s Executive Vice President, Emily Walton noted “Excalibur is very excited to participate in this initiative. It allows us to support and engage our hometown’s youth directly. Our philanthropic efforts are focused on our local communities, and now our professional efforts can be further expanded by providing meaningful work experience to our city’s junior workforce.”
