WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 7, 2013) – Excalibur Staffing Services, a minority-owned HUBZone certified staffing and consulting firm, announced today it has been awarded a competitive contract to provide support to the Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration’s Office of Congressional and Public Affairs. Excalibur will perform as a Prime contractor on this effort for a period of twelve months with four renewal option years.
Specifically, Excalibur will be providing support to the Office in speechwriting and other outreach methods to ensure uniform agency communications. Directly supporting the Administrator and Deputy Administrator our services will focus on U.S. Flag matters, Merchant Marines, piracy, the Recovery Act, ship recycling and environmental stewardship, the Ready Reserve Force, the U. S. Maritime Academy, cargo preference, Maritime Security Program, Title XI, and other administration priorities.
DOT’s Maritime Administration works determinedly to promote the use of waterborne transportation and its seamless integration with other segments of the transportation system. The agency maintains the health of the merchant marine, since commercial mariners, vessels, and intermodal facilities are vital for the support of national security.
